Op Staff Job Description

SERVICE:

At its core, the OPS program is about teaching and modeling service to others. Each member will be involved in a variety of areas to help the camp run effectively, including food service, housekeeping, program assistance, groundskeeping, and much more.

GROWTH:

One of the benefits of working on OPS is the daily discipleship class. You will be challenged, through a daily discipleship program and teachers who care for you, to grow deeper in your personal walk with Jesus Christ. We’ll be discussing relevant issues, and teaching leadership principles along the way.

IMPACT:

As an OPS member, you will be vitally important to the mission of Mt. Lou San. Your service and testimony will have a lasting impact on campers’ lives that will last long after camp is over.

YOU CAN EXPECT TO:

-Participate in a discipleship program that meets daily.

-Participate in discussions daily in class.

-Be paired with a counselor as Prayer Partners for the summer, and for the purpose of job shadowing.

-Participate in an entire week of chapels during one of the teen weeks of camp.

-Participate once or twice a week in the evening devotional times with your prayer partner’s campers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Age: At least 16 years of age

Time: The entirety of the camping season - typically a 6-week summer

Who: Anyone with a servant’s heart, willing to work hard for the benefit of another
