Ops Head Counselor Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

Age: At least 20 years of age

Time: The entirety of the camping season - typically a 6-week summer

What: Solid work ethic, heart for ministry to teens and kids

Who: Anyone with a servant’s heart, willing to work hard for the benefit of another

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Write daily schedule for each OPS member

Enforce safety protocols

Enforce policies and procedures – on and off work hours

Mentor and guide on an individual basis

Supervise the management of living space

MANAGING OPS RESPONSIBILITIES:

GIRL OPS

Meal Prep, dining hall setup

Meal Service

Daily Housekeeping responsibilities

Game assistance

Snackshop service

Camp store service

Evening snack

GUY OPS

Line trimming, push mowing, wood splitting

Minor maintenance repairs with guidance

Daily trash runs

Sweeping/mopping needed areas

Game assistance

Occasional game set up/tear down

Assist campers with luggage and direction at registration

DISCIPLESHIP OPPORTUNITIES WITH OPS TEENS:

Lead daily cabin devotions in evenings

Coordinating prayer partner and shadowing opportunities

Individual mentoring - (i.e. - helping resolve interpersonal conflict)

Participating in daily discipleship class (opportunities available to teach if qualified)

Daily encouragement and teambuilding opportunities (occasional off-site as well)
